Most people don’t come to therapy because they’re broken. More often, they come because something important in their life deserves attention.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult relationship, facing a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, think clearly, and move forward with greater confidence.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood while we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.

Why I became a therapist.

I became a therapist because I saw a genuine need for compassionate, thoughtful mental health care in the community. Throughout my career, I met people who were carrying tremendous burdens—anxiety, relationship struggles, grief, addiction, major life transitions—often believing they had to face those challenges alone.

I believe therapy offers something different. It provides a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and discover practical ways to move forward. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone gain confidence, clarity, and hope as they begin creating meaningful change in their lives.

My Approach

Therapy isn’t about being judged or having someone tell you how to live your life. It’s a collaborative process built on curiosity, honesty, and respect.

Every client brings a unique story, so I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Some sessions involve exploring long-standing patterns, while others focus on solving immediate problems or navigating difficult decisions. My role is to help you better understand yourself, identify what stands in your way, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.

Professional Background

My professional journey has included service in the United States Navy, leadership roles in healthcare, and eventually private practice as a clinical social worker. Those experiences taught me the value of resilience, responsibility, and treating every person with dignity and respect.

Today, I practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and also hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.). While education and experience are important, I believe the strongest foundation for therapy is a relationship built on trust, authenticity, and genuine human connection.

Outside the Office

Outside of my practice, I enjoy photography, sailing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. These activities help keep me grounded and continually remind me that meaningful growth—whether in therapy or in life—rarely happens all at once. It comes through patience, persistence, and a willingness to keep moving forward.
